Nutrition Counseling

We’d be a good fit if you relate to any of these statements:
  • You feel like food and body image thoughts take up most of your brain space.
  • You feel like a failure for not being able to stick to a diet or eating plan.
  • You wish you could have a better relationship with food and your body… and you’re not even sure if that’s possible for you.
  • You feel addicted to or controlled by food.
  • You struggle with restricting, binging, purging, and/or overexercising.
  • You experience dread and anxiety around food.
  • You have aversions to certain foods and textures, and/or a lack of interest in food.
  • You avoid social settings where food is present, such as dinner parties.
  • You have been told to “just eat” and know that it’s more complex than that.
  • You feel like you have whiplash from all the mixed messages and expectations about food.

You are not alone! The good news is there’s a way out of this, and we’d love to help.

We offer in-person sessions in Boise, Idaho, and provide virtual sessions for people living in Idaho, Montana, Florida, California, Colorado, Virginia, and Arizona.

Our goal is to provide a space for support and guidance, so you can have a more peaceful relationship with food and your body; and feel empowered to be your own food and body expert. Our work with each client is highly individualized and collaborative. We aim to approach our work through a weight-inclusive and trauma-informed lens. You deserve to improve your relationship with food and your body so that you can create more space to focus on the areas in life that truly bring you joy.

At Nutrition DeJunked, we believe that true well-being begins with body liberation. We recognize that systems of oppression deeply shape our relationships with food and body, and that health is far more complex than individual choices or personal responsibility.

We are committed to building a more inclusive world that honors and cares for bodies of all sizes, races, neurodiversities, identities, and lived experiences. As LGBTQIA+ affirming clinicians and dedicated anti-racism practitioners, we acknowledge our privileges and the responsibility they carry. We are dedicated to providing services that are accessible, inclusive, and free of stigma. We celebrate and affirm all backgrounds and identities and strive to provide a brave space for our clinicians and clients.

45 MINUTE INITIAL SESSION

The initial session allows us to start getting to know each other and answer any questions you might have about our work together. Depending on your comfort level and with your permission, we may begin to explore your past and present relationship with food and exercise, eating patterns, body image concerns, medical history, digestive health, stress levels, sleep patterns, and more. Together, we’ll discuss the type and amount of support you will need, the frequency of visits, both short-term and long-term goals, and what you’re hoping to get out of our work together.

45 MINUTE FOLLOW UP SESSIONS

Through these sessions, we will work together towards your goals. Our hope is that our sessions will provide you with a supportive space to work through any feelings, thoughts, and experiences you are navigating as we focus on building skills, exploring body image, dismantling food and body shame from external factors, and creating structure if necessary.
